Appointing a Chief Executive Officer for a Caribbean Luxury Resort Group

The Challenge
Our client is a Caribbean-based hospitality company that both owns and operates a portfolio of luxury resort properties across multiple islands. In addition to its operating assets, the business holds a substantial land bank to support future resort development and long-term growth. The portfolio welcomes more than 40,000 guests annually, predominantly leisure-focused, with the majority of guests originating from North America, alongside a strong UK and European presence.
Following an internal organisational restructure, the client sought to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to work closely with the Chairman and lead the next phase of development. The role required a seasoned hospitality leader capable of overseeing all aspects of the business, accelerating brand growth, and guiding the organisation towards long-term, sustainable success across both existing operations and future developments.
Our Solution
We were retained to lead a global executive search, targeting senior hospitality leaders with proven experience in luxury resort operations and owner-operated environments. Our approach focused on identifying candidates with:
- End-to-end leadership experience across complex resort portfolios
- Strong strategic capability to drive growth and brand development
- The ability to partner closely with ownership and board-level stakeholders
- A leadership style aligned with a luxury, guest-centric operating culture
The Results
We successfully appointed an industry veteran as Chief Executive Officer, providing the business with immediate leadership stability and strategic direction. Since appointment, the CEO has assumed full responsibility for the group's operations and development strategy, positioning the business for its next phase of growth and long-term value creation.
